My boyfriend and I drive to Richmond for a day trip and I now have to live with the sadness of knowing that the best cake I've ever tried exists 3 hours away from me. We tried the spotted cow cake (10/10), banana pudding (6/10), swamp bars (3/10 in the cafe but 9/10 when it has sat in your car for like an hour and is gooey and melted), and lemon bar (6/10). I would make the drive just to visit this place again.

My sister was visiting from out of town, and we were craving something sweet, so we stopped by Shyndigz. She is gluten intolerant, so we tried the Peanut Butter Oreo GF cake and the GF Crème Brûlée. Both were delicious, and she really enjoyed the PB Oreo GF cake. My brother and I (we're not celiac) thought the cake was a bit dry, but my sister didn't seem to mind. Personally, my favorite was the crème brûlée that tasted freshly prepared, and they even torched the top to achieve that perfect caramelized finish.

My husband and I went here for lunch and dessert of course. I had the chicken pot pie which was the pot pie filling in a bowl with a biscuit in it. Honestly, it reminded me of family dinners growing up and it was sooo tasty! For dessert I had the salted Carmel chocolate cake, the Carmel wasn't my favorite but the cake itself was moist and delicious. This place was so cute with a little coffee/cocktail stand when you entire and an adorable interior of trees and decorations. It's a place I'd want to bring friends to

Nice atmosphere, delicious berry white cake, very good tiramisu cake (though I would have preferred whipped ganache to frosting, good bar cookie. Lots of picnic bits and treats all around. Cute mock food truck at the front that I will have to try another time. Honestly, I would have given this cute place 5 stars if the staff did not act like you were interrupting their phone time to place an order.

The cutest bakery! Availability to eat inside, outside or take home. Lots of options for those with a sweet tooth, I tried the fruit cake and oatmeal creme pies. 2 words, SO GOOD! Admittedly I enjoyed my treats better on day 2, everything is being chilled in fridges when you order which definitely played a part in my initial taste review. Definitely want to go back and try something chocolatey next time!

New favorite dessert shop!!! I came in on a Try-it Tuesday & had the chocolate caramel cake, which was SO delicious! The shop is an absolute dream, with plants, homemade products, coffee & alcohol available to purchase. The space is decorated with lots of plants & has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, with places to sit and relax while you eat. The workers were very kind and helped me to pick out what to try since it was a bit overwhelming at first glance. Will definitely be back to try more!!!

The best array of desserts you've ever seen in your life is waiting for you in Richmond, Virginia. Shyndigz is NEXT LEVEL for desserts; some of their greatest are the layer cakes, as seen here. I have never enjoyed fruitcake in my life, in fact prior to trying Shyndigz, I was grossed out by even hearing about fruitcake. I would think of the kind that is preserved and sold in boxes at Christmastime. But THIS IS NOT THAT. OH. MY. WORD. This fruitcake is OTHER WORLDLY. It is the most delicious white cake, frosting, and layers of fresh fruits such as blackberries and kiwi between the layers. Just one piece of the cake is enough to serve several people. In addition to these outlandishly good layer cakes, they have yummy treats such as lemon bars, cookies, brownies, and THE most delicious rice krispy treats you've ever had. Along with the fab desserts, they have a lot of unique merchandise such as local Richmond merch as well as other cool stuff. Their new expanded location lends itself to a great place to meet a friend for dessert and coffee. My husband and I have brought so many people to Shyndigz, and will continue to do so!

I LOVE the new location. Shyndigz is definitely the dessert go to I say anyone who is going to RVA has to visit. As someone who despises parallel parking I love that they have a little lot to park in now. Once you enter in you are greeted by a coffee type location and more savory food offerings. I went in there specifically to either get a slice of Gluten free cake or possibly the banana pudding if it was available. I ended up getting the creme brulee. I think it's cool that they sugar and torch it right in front of you. The line was long buy that was to be expected. They also had takeaway items that you could bake at home, savory and sweet. Since I live over an hour away, I'll definitely check their menu offerings for gf before visiting again. I'd love to sit inside for awhile and enjoy the environment.

Friday 3/22/2024 This spot right here is THE ONE. I called ahead to ask about the availability of specific items and the lady working was kind and very helpful. They have a multitude of different baked goods and sweets that would satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. I got the pecan strussel bread pudding $13, carrot cake slice $11, and a prepacked pint of their Oreo ice cream $9. - Pecan strussel bread pudding * this was amazing and insanely delicious but what really brings it together is the side praline sauce that i definitely needed more of due to it being so good. * I can confidentially say that it's tied for the best bread pudding I've ever had (tied with famous Dave's bread pudding). - carrot cake slice * it was pretty decent and the "slice" is a big piece so I'd say you definitely get what you pay for. - prepacked Oreo pint * my least favorite of the 3 items but it was still solid. * the cookies n cream texture reminded me of brownie/cake peices rather than the cookie peices that I'm used to and the ice cream was more of a chocolate base rather than a classic vanilla base. This place deserves all the attention and more. I will 100% come back if I'm ever in the Richmond area and obviously I highly recommend this spot for anyone who's likes desserts or baked goods (trust me they will have something for your taste buds).
